What Are the 3 Most Helpful Beauty-Related Things You Do (or Don't Do) When You're Totally Pressed for Time? - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Here at Tabs the Cat Industries LLC, the work day starts promptly at 8 a.m. precipitous — on the dot, because Tabs has a very depression tolerance for tardiness…unless it's his own.
This morning, as is frequently the case, I was running behind. Fifty-fifty though I simply have a 30-second commute to the office (it's, uh, correct downwards the hall), it's amazing how often I'm late. 🙂
But kidding… That's really sort of a morbid joke because I usually start doing something piece of work related for Tabs in the mornings well earlier 8.
Today I'm running way behind.
You lot know how it goes… The CFO (Chief Feline Officer) expects yous to exist at his/her beck and call, and so you start your days early and finish hella tardily.
This, of course, means having to rush to get fix in the forenoon, all the same the boss nevertheless expects me to go far at the office looking sharp (similar I'm supposed to be able to become from busted to bewitching in 3 minutes, sheesh!).
Oh, well… Whatcha gonna do? The merely real choice is to adapt.
Information technology got me thinking, though. What are the three almost helpful dazzler-related things I do (or don't do) when I'k totally pressed for time?
1. Letting my mane go unwashed
I won't skip my post-workout shower (I can't stand it when my skin is glutinous, especially on the back of my neck and knees, ugh!), but I tin begrudgingly tolerate not washing my hair.
My roots go sweaty and oily and overall pretty gnarly, but at to the lowest degree there'southward dry shampoo. By skipping shampoo and conditioner, that saves me at least 10 minutes (I've got a lot of hair), and then another xv-20 minutes for not having to do my hair.
That'due south similar 30 minutes saved right at that place.
2. Let the fur fly!
GURL, don't even get me started almost body hair because nosotros'll be hither for days!
I'yard a hairy creature, and I normally shave every day — legs, 'pits, the whole kit and caboodle — only when I'yard running late, I just say 'eff information technology and encompass my sasquatch side. Then I'll try to find something in my closet to wear that covers up the hairiest of my furry bits (no tank tops or shorts).
iii. Organized beauty nuts
So I started keeping all of my minimal makeup essentials in an acrylic desk organizer with a agglomeration of petty compartments (I got information technology as a gift), and I kid yous not — that thing has completely changed my life!
I keep my primers in one section, foundation in another, brow products in some other compartment…
You get the picture.
The key is having everything you need to get gear up in i place, but still separated. That way everything is easy to find. I don't have to rifle effectually through drawers and bags for the right brush.
Information technology saves SO MUCH Time.
I can't seem to notice the verbal same organizer I have, but this 6-Section Acrylic Organizer ($12.99) from The Container Store should get the chore done fine. For $12.99, that's a good fourth dimension-saving investment.
How well-nigh you? What are the three most helpful beauty-related things you practise (or don't practice) when you lot're totally pressed for time?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
